Lyla is a sweet, smart, and affectionate mixed breed dog looking for her forever home. At approximately 13-months-old, she is appropriately energetic and curious for her age. She is crate-trained, house-broken, and has a very good foundation of basic obedience skills, including loose-leash walking. She sleeps nicely in her crate too. She is affectionate and thrives when included in family activities. Some of her favorite things: being a gardening companion, taking neighborhood walks, and working on enrichment toys while her humans work on the computer. Lyla is eager to please and would benefit from a forever person or family with some time and patience to continue her obedience education and help her grow more confident in new situations and in meeting new people. She is food motivated and responds well to praise, attention, and structure. The time investment would be repaid many times over in affection and fun. Lyla enjoys the company of other dogs and is working on appropriately engaging them in play. She is in foster care with two other dogs and her manners continue to improve. She also attends a structured doggy-day care program where she is a staff favorite. Love dogs?
